(via Dr. Ingrid Hsieh-Yee, Catholic University of America)

Registration is now open for the 11th Annual Bridging the Spectrum Symposium that will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019. Registration will close on January 25 or when all seats are filled, whichever comes first. To ensure your place, please go to: cua.irisregistration.com/Form/LIS2019

***Note: If you cannot access the form from the link, please copy the link to your browser***

You will need to create an Iris account and add username and password to register.

The registration fee is $25.00 which helps to defray expenses of the event, including morning continental breakfast and lunch. All attendees and presenters must pre-register; no on-site registration will be accepted. Please include any disability accommodations or special dietary needs when you register. Contact the Symposium Planning Committee at: cus-slis-symposium@cua.edu if you have questions.

This is the only DC-area symposium that brings together practitioners, students, and faculty from all sectors of the information profession for a day of sharing and collaboration. Details of the program are available at: lis.catholic.edu/news-events/symposium/2019/index.html

This year we are excited to have Mr. Mark Sweeney, Principal Deputy Librarian of Congress as our keynote speaker! Please visit the symposium website to learn more.

In addition, a panel of cataloging experts from the Library of Congress will discuss the RDA Toolkit Restructure and Redesign Project and its implications for LC cataloging practices and the Bibframe editor.

Seats are limited, so register early!  Past symposia have sold out! We anticipate that this one will sell out quickly too.

We look forward to seeing you at the Symposium!

–The Symposium Planning Committee (Dr. Ingrid Hsieh-Yee, Dr. Sue Yeon Syn and Dr. Jane Zhang)
