Call for OCLC Global Council Candidate Nominations (Deadline 11/17)

(via Mary Konkel, College of DuPage)

Did you know that as an OCLC member, your voice matters? You play an important role in the development of products and services and in shaping the direction of the OCLC cooperative. This work is accomplished by the OCLC Global and Regional Councils, which represent your voice and the voices of all member libraries.

As an OCLC member, you can nominate yourself for an open delegate position on your Regional Council. This year, the Americas Regional Council (ARC) is seeking librarians to run for 13 delegate seats. Candidates must currently work in an OCLC member organization that held active OCLC member status as of June 2018, and they must have a leadership position in their institution.

Elected candidates will:

  • Play an active role identifying ways to engage regionally with other OCLC members and channel member feedback
  • Embrace the opportunity to shape the direction of the cooperative by participating in discussions (in English) with and making recommendations to OCLC leadership

Let your voice be heard. Apply for an open ARC delegate position and represent other OCLC members. Submit your applicationby 17 November 2018.
