OCLC Announces Agenda for 2018 Americas Regional Council Conference (Oct. 24-26 in Chicago)

(via OCLC)

The 2018 OCLC Americas Regional Council Conference agenda is now available on the ARC18 website. More than 50 community leaders will share their learnings, insights, and innovations in the spirit of building game-changing libraries in communities across the world.

With 16 breakout sessions spanning four different categories-analytics and data, public purpose, spaces and resources, and technology and innovation-you can customize your schedule to help you get the most out of your conference experience.

Event highlights include:

  • Keynote presentations from Skip Prichard, OCLC President and CEO and author of Wall Street Journal bestseller The Book of Mistakes: 9 Secrets to Creating a Successful Future; and Dr. Louise Bernard, founding Director of the Museum of the Obama Presidential Center
  • Preconference (new this year!): Leading the 21st Century Research Library (coordinated by the OCLC Research Library Partnership)
  • Networking activity: Connect with colleagues over a festive Thursday night dinner event at Carnivale, one of the premier dining experiences in Chicago’s West Loop.
