Kentucky Library Association/Special Libraries Association 2018 Joint Spring Conference to Be Held April 4-6

As librarians begin their new academic year and are making travel plans for conferences, the Planning Committee would like you to Save the Date and consider attending the 2018 KLA/SLA Joint Spring Conference held at General Butler State Resort Park in Carrollton, Kentucky April 4 Р6, 2018. This conference is a low-cost, low-pressure conference and is good for librarians and library students. Co-sponsored by the Academic and Special Library Sections of the Kentucky Library Association and the Kentucky Chapter of the Special Libraries Association, the conference offers numerous educational and networking opportunities to attendees from various institutions

While the planning committee has not finalized a theme or featured speakers, we want to invite you to add the conference to your calendar and your consideration as you are thinking of where your professional development opportunities lie for this academic year. As mentioned, the cost for the conference is relatively low, as listed below.

This price includes: three meals (breakfast on Thursday and Friday and lunch on Thursday), two receptions with refreshments and refreshments served during the conference.

The Planning Committee for the 2018 Joint Spring Conference thanks you for your time and consideration. We hope that many of you decide to include the Joint Spring Conference in your professional development plans for the upcoming academic year and that we will see you in April. Please look for our Call for Proposals in October following the finalization of our theme and the announcement of our speakers later in the year.
